V2 Update!


Good morning everyone!

After working on this little game for the GMTK game jam from this year, I decided to take all the great feedback given to polish up the gameplay a lot. Here's the big changes

  • Music and sounds
    • Thanks to the wonderful Andrea Baroni's work (whose work I purchased from a Humble Bundle a few years ago) this game now has some bopping music. Sounds effects also have been added.
  • Settings menu
    • Both the music and sfx volume can be adjusted in the settings menu. It also lets you quit the game
  • Game balance
    • The scaling was too quick in the previous version so nearly every value has been adjusted.
      • Upgrade costs will now increase exponentially
      • Timer increase from Bigger Battery reduced from to 0.1 second per level from 1 second per level
      • Score multiplier from Super Speed reduced to 1.01(+0.01 per level) from 1.1(+0.1 per level)
    • Weights and targets are more randomized
      • Before the game only pulled weights and targets from a fixed possible list. Now all the targets are fully randomized.
      • The weights are not fully random but can be any value from 1 to 15
      • The right most (highest point value) target will now be more difficult. More often than not it will require using all 4 weights to obtain.
  • Quality of Life changes
    • Weights are unbound
      • The weights used to snap back once you moved them too far away. This made it very awkward to move the weights around so they can go anywhere they want (just don't drop them off into the void).
    • Keyboard connection
      • Instead of clicking the confirm button, space bar will do the same thing
  • Small changes to instructions page to reflect V2 changes
  • Lots of little bug fixes (and cleaning up some ugly code)
